A 2 Days Uganda Safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the shortest safari but an amazing trip to see Uganda’s wildlife in the world’s biosphere reserve that hosts about 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species.
Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a world biosphere reserve in Western Uganda. The park was named after Queen Elizabeth II and it was established in 1954. The park covers an area of about 1,978 square kilometres. Within this park there is Lake Edward and Lake George and the Kazinga channel. The vegetation in the park is mostly open savannah, green meadows, semi- deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps. A lunch stopover will be at Igongo Cultural Centre where you will have lunch and take some minutes to visit the centre and learn about the culture of the Ankole people.
Upon reaching the park, check into the lodge. Go for an evening game drive in the Queen Elizabeth National Park to catch up with the late grazers. Overnight at Bush Lodge (Budget) / Enganzi Lodge (Midrange) / Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury)
Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise
Early in the morning, you will set out for a game drive and meet up with the early risers.
The park has diverse eco system of grassy plains, rivers, craters lakes, swamps, forests
These are homes to a variety of wildlife. This game drive will award you with the view of animals like lions, buffaloes, antelopes, etc.
Have lunch at the lodge.
Take a mid morning boat ride along the Kazinga channel. During the 3 hours boat cruise, you will get to see incredible wildlife including hippos and have a moment of photography. Have Lunch and ermbark on a return trip to Kampala.
