At the River Ishasha is an affordable eco camp in Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda with fabulous views of the Ntungwe River and Ishasha game park. We have both en-suite cottages as well as rooms with shared facilities all with great views of the river at various prices to suit your budget. We also have a large camp-site; also on the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. The camp is set on 34 acres of land next to the river and on the opposite bank is riverine forest with healthy populations of black and white colobus monkeys, red tail monkeys and baboon who serenade you in their own special way, as well as other animals who visit from time to time.

The camp is located 4 km from the main park entrance and 18 km from Kihihi Town, where there are fuel stations, some shops and a Stanbic Bank with an ATM. We are only 57 km from Bwindi and the amazing mountain gorillas. It is also only eighty kilometres from northern queen Elizabeth where other spectacular activities are available such as chimp tracking, game and bird viewing and an amazing boat ride on the Kazinga Channels. Ishasha is one of the few places in the world where whole prides of lions habitually climb trees.

We currently have 2 family sized En-suite Cottages and 2 double En-suite cottages which all have great views of the river and park forest. These cottages are large and come equipped with a flushing toilet, sink, shower with a view and hot water. There are 2 large beds with clean sheets, pillows, duvets, mosquito nets, towels and a bottle of water. 2 more en-suite cottages will be completed soon.
